  Quoted $60 for a key for my 2007 Chevy pickup. Was told it had a chip that had to be programed. Went to another locksmith and paid $3.50, for just an all-metal key. Second locksmith informed me that it was non chip by the key not having + symbol on the key. Went back to Triangle Key shop and was told the first quote was a mistake. A mistake that would have cost me $55 more for my key. Would they have corrected their mistake? I have found me new locksmith,

  Sorry for the trouble Terry! We have a new employee and they did everything "by the book". According to our book a 2007 Silverado comes standard with a chip in the key. Now he knows to double check the key before he quotes the price. The book is not always 100% correct. Thank you for the learning experience!
