What a bunch of scammers.  Won't tell me the price of a key over the phone.  One guy tells me its cheaper to pick it up in person, then another guy tells me he's the the area and will drop it off but forgot to mention he's going to charge a ridiculous amount of money to come out.  Wants $300 for 2 KEYS!  He seemed to not know they only cost $7 on Grainger.

Robin the technician came within the window of time the company and I agreed upon even though they were super-busy. I live in Carver County so agreed to meet them at my church in Hennepin County.  I got two new fobs and another key for door locks and ignition on my 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix GT and was very pleased with the friendly and courteous service. The cost was way less than if I had gone to the dealer. I have no problem highly recommending them. Thankyou Rapid Key Recovery.

The ignition lock cylinder in my husband's car was broken leaving him without a car so I contacted Rapid Key Recovery based on their Google reviews and they did not disappoint. Eric, the technician was great to work with, he fully explained the repair process to us in a way that was easy to understand. He was able to rebuild the ignition lock cylinder and had it reinstalled same day even though it was late on a Friday. I will not hesitate to recommend Rapid Key Recovery  to friends and family!

Rapid is right! I snapped my car key in half, and called a bunch of locksmith companiee who all quoted me around $200 to come and rekey the lock. I even tried bringing the key to Home Depot to see if they could duplicate it! While waiting for the service techs from the other companies to "call with an ETA", I found these guys who said if I bring the broken key in they could make a new one for only $15! I had a new key about 15 minutes after calling them, and they even made me a spare for only $5.50 extra! Talk about doing what is best for customers! I will be calling these guys for all future locksmithing needs.

I felt that the service was great! They were super fast and reasonable especially the technician was super understanding with me running errands and being a few minutes late. I also got called about 15 minutes before he arrived but I was also told on the phone that my cost was going to be around 185 for everything. Then when he got there we decided to get another key which he said was for 60. When we got our bill we found out he added another 105 for labor I was not told I was going to get charged for and my total came to 345 dollars. I would recommend but I don't think I got a fair price because I was not told it was going to be that much. I felt ripped off because I was told one price on the phone then charged a whole different way when he got there.

I am sorry to hear about your unfortunate experience with a locksmith. However, that company was not us. Minnesota has the largest scam locksmiths in the USA. All of which quote one price and then charge another.

The rates you mention do not coincide with any of our rates. Furthermore our calls are electronically dispatched and records are kept. I searched both dispatch and accounting software for your name even misspelled versions. You are not in our system. I also cross referenced our accounting software AND our credit card processing company. You are not listed any in of these areas either.

Our son was having problems getting the key into the ignition on our 2003 Honda Pilot. Called car dealer, service business and then locksmith. John did a great job; responsive, very knowledgeable, kind and professional! Arrived in afternoon to take the ignition part, returned later that day. Highly recommend! And saved us $300! The service here was absolutely top notch. I worked with John and Eric on a car key issue that was causing a consistent headache.

Originally recommended by Triple A (which if you're a member you get 10% off your services!!), I was stressed after a long day of car troubles and felt desperate to get them fixed fast.

This shop closes at 5 PM, like most auto body shops, and I couldn't get there until 4:45 PM from work during rush hour. They were happy to work with me on this!

I was greeted with a smile and someone saying, "we were expecting you!" rather than someone who was ready to get home after a busy Monday.

While we thought the original issue was something different, 45 minutes later, John came to me with the solution that I had been looking for for over a month.

He stayed an HOUR late (6 PM) to help me and he was informative the entire time.

I would recommend to anyone needing a locksmith and great customer service to boot. It's a convenient location on Excelsior in SLP and they have a private parking lot!

My Lexus key and fob was falling apart, so I bought a cheap shell and key replacement online. I moved my internals to the new shell and brought the key over to Rapid Key to have it cut. He did a great job, worked great in my car and done in a few minutes time. Saved me over 100 bucks from going to the dealer to purchase a key and have it cut.
