  I was visiting Galveston for a quick vacation, lost my push to start key on my first day (my car will only start with a push to start, no actual key) and I called a different ‘locksmith’ to come make a new key, was told that my key was a dealer only kind and that it would be $1200 to replace, I ended up paying this ‘locksmith’ for his time (1 hr) and to not even have a new key made. My husband found Protech online and so we have them a shot, my key was a fraction of the cost I was quoted, was programmed and completely done in less than 10 minutes. Literally saved so much time, money, hassle. And Tyler was just an overall great business owner. Definitely recommend to anyone in the area. Bonus is that my new car key looks so futuristic.

  Protect is great to work with! My son lost his car key in Galveston. We had another company come out and tell us it took a special machine to replicate his key and that it could be there in an hour. After an hour we were told it would be at least another hour. I called Protech and they came within 30 minutes looked over the car and said it didn't need the special machine. Tyler had our new keys made in less then 20 minutes and we were done in under an hour from the time I called him. Since we had already waited for several hours for the first guy and second that didn't show my battery died and Tyler was so great, jumped out of his truck and had my car running in 2 minutes. I highly recommend Protech, they are honest, fast and reliable.
