  I use a Minute Key machine in Lowes in Toms River, NJ process was smooth from payment to the choice of key. Unfortunately after the key was made the machine failed to give me my key. Had to have another key made by a Lowes employee at the store.

  The keys worked. No issues. I will say however that if you buy one at Lowes it will cost you $4. If you buy one at Walmart it is $3. Inconsistent prices.
