Merrilees is a great local hardware store. Pricing is competitive with the big box stores, but the personal service is where they really shine. There is always someone to assist you quickly. And very knowledgeable folks. Highly recommend Dale and his crew!

Employees always polite and very helpful.  May not always be the cheapest, (although several things are) but when you need that one or two things, it don't matter because it is so convenient, especially living in Cleves.  It gives you that small town feel.  🙂

Nice neighborhood store with a very helpful staff.  I bought my first hammer here and they taught me how to fix the jiggly handle on my toilet, that was over twenty years ago. I moved a few years ago, closer to a lot of  other hardware stores. I still drive back to Merrilees, I always find what I need. Or at least find a person who can get me exactly what I need.

This store has been family owned and a pillar to Cleves for over the 40+ years I can remember and they keep growing! They are always friendly and willing to help me find whatever crazy thing I need and if they don’t have it, they sometimes can come up with another solution for me. Large selection of nuts and bolts. 99% of the time they have what I need, sometimes I look for furniture hardware which many stores don’t have and I have to get online.  Love supporting this local business!

I came in for the first time to check out the store looking for a certain tool. And ended up knowing an employee there who was a great help and very friendly. Unfortunately they didn't have the tool i was looking for. When the owner heard that i they didn't have what i needed, he interrupted me, and dismissed me as if i wasnt buying anything i should leave. I usually believe in supporting your local business, but i will not be coming back.

I’ve shopped here for years, the owner works regularly and is always friendly. All of the employees are knowledgeable and are willing to help!

Great small town hardware store, prices are a little high but that's what you get for the convenience of not having to drive 20 minutes to home depot

Extremely rude staff!! I have never been spoken to or treated this poorly before in ANY retail environment. I will never give these people a penny of my hard earned money. The lady in there is lucky that I didn't say the things I really wanted to.

I recently bought fence posts and rakes here, this is a very good Hardware Store with good selection of products, good customer service and competitive prices.

Dale has always had a fantastic hardware selection and his crews are always helpful and his prices are extremely competitive to the big box stores and top quality hot water heaters that his prices can't be beat.
