To all others reading this: Go Somewhere else that will provide a better level of customer service at a lower cost. Here is the scoop: So I Googled a local locksmith, as I needed 2 key fobs programmed I purchased online for my new used vehicle. They had a few bad reviews but were the closest, and reviews can be inaccurate sometimes, so I thought I would give them a shot. We are not from the area (lived in Bangor for the past 2 1/2 years, and originally from Colorado, though we have lived all over) so I drove to the location, and while the "business" had a professionally made sign posted, it was a house, so I called and indicated I was out front and what I needed. I was told to call the "tech" (the owners son Alec) which I did and left a message and left to run my errands. I received a call back an hour or so later, and he left a voicemail (I was shopping at Hannaford with a mask, so couldn't answer). I called back when I got home about 30 minutes later and was told it would be $100 for the first key, and $80 for the second ($180 total), I asked if they accept AAA, and I was told they did, but I would need to call AAA for service, so I did. I was already home, and was not planning on going back out, and I already paid for my AAA membership and AAA providers come to you. AAA called Maine Locksmith in Windham, who once again called me, only this time told me it would be $100 for the "service call" to drive to my location (10 miles, and only 14 minutes drive time) telling me "it costs money to run the truck" and that it would still be $100 for the 1st key & $80 for the second ($280 total), unless I would drive to them. I told them I had already done that, and didn't understand the $100 charge for having to drive to us, even after I was refused service when I came to their place of business in the first place, and it's only 15 minutes away! I guess they don't care about the cost of driving my truck, also a work truck. So I called AAA back, cancelled the service call and filed a complaint because these are NOT the people I want working on my car. So I made an appointment at the Lee Dodge Dealership in Westbrook (14 miles away, 28 minutes driving) tommorow afternoon who will do both keys for $120, that AAA will reimburse my cost as part of my membership benefits. The Dodge Dealership in Bridgton would do the keys for $50 each, but didn't have an appointment until next week. And I get it, your running a small business. I would have gladly waited, and paid more to support a local business, but you refused me service, wouldn't make it right by driving to us at a reasonable cost, and seem to be price gouging to begin with. I won't pay my hard earned money to people who can't even give me a basic level of customer service.

Purchased a key fob and had it programmed. Was told if I found the lost fob it would still work on the car. Now I am told that it costs $60 to reprogram all the fobs to make them work. I have done lots of work with Marty and he is great. Alec was not clear in his discussions and now wants more $$ to fix his mistake.
Response from the owner
We're sorry about your lost fob Bruce, as I understand it the fob was lost outside for a while and our automotive techs do charge to work on vehicles by the hour. We look forward to helping you manage your locks in the future. -Marty
