I bought a dead-bolt lock and installed it. Bill cut four keys that would not go in the key slot.  Went back to the store and a gentleman (gray hair/glasses) cut a new one that went in but wouldn't turn.  Went back again and Bill cut another one that went in 1/4" .  Back again, LOL, and Bill took the same lock of the shelf and made a key and it went in and turned.  He gave me the cylinder from it.  I went home and exchanged it.  He was baffled and figured the first one was was defective. Both gentlemen were extremely helpful!!!!

Walked into the store on a very hot and humid day (6/29/21) and could not believe it was actually hotter and more humid inside than it was outside.  For the poor employees, it must have felt like a literal sweat shop!   How can you, the management, totally disregard the working conditions your employees are forced to endure. Since being taken over by , the prices soared and its hard to find just about any hardware.  Since being bought out, this place has gone downhill fast.  I give 2 stars only because the employees that decided to stay on board are awesome.  Put on the air conditioning and stop penny pinching.  The new management is a real disappointment

Everyone is always very pleasant and helpful whenever I go there.

I worked customer service for years and had to deal with unhappy people a lot. This is not the way to handle it:
The first employee was great, answering questions and showing me what I needed.
I was purchasing peg board. I said I was nervous that it wouldn't fit in my car, he replied that the lumber guys could cut it if I needed them to.
It wouldn't fit in my car, and come to find out they couldn't cut it.
I went to return in and even though I was not swearing or yelling, the first cashier couldn't handle the return , because I was "taking it out on her"
The next employee went to complete my return and said he could put the money back on my card, and then handed me cash. I was then asked if I "woke up in a bad mood" And I said that, no I just don't like being told one thing and having it be a lie.
Headed to an annoying box store next time

Best hardware store around but please stop contacting me. I hate doing reviews. Why does everybody want to review? Every time you buy something somebody wants to review. That’s just nonsense. I wouldn’t shop at your place if I didn’t like your store.

A local hardware store with a lot of choices. May not have exactly what you want, but will have what you need. Very friendly staff.

I am a long time customer of Lyndonville hardware. While I was skeptical at first when this store was purchased by Aubuchon, the manager, Troy, has maintained the hometown feel of this store and quickly become part of the community here as he knows his customers by name !

Great, friendly staff. Wonderful hardware store.
