  My experience is that customer service is not one of this business’ strengths. I called to make an appointment to have locks on my home’s exterior doors and was asked questions I didn’t quite know how to answer, as I am not familiar with locksmith lingo or the anatomy of a lock. Rather than try to explain the terminology, I was met with “how are we suppose to change the lock if you don’t know what type of lock it is?” Next, I asked to make an appointment and send a picture of the existing locks. I was told this was not possible, they need to know the type of locks before making the appointment and was requested to send a picture and then call back. I’m new to the neighborhood but have never had an experience like this with a locksmith, usually they ask 1-2 basic questions and show up. For an expert to put the onus on the customer (non-expert) to identify exactly what needs to happen doesn’t seem logical to me, or at least was not compatible to my needs. Good thing there are other local options.

  Hi Monthly Bills, we’re sorry to hear your customer service experience was not up to par. Normally when someone calls in to make an appointment and are not able to describe the locks, we ask for pictures. If you’re unable to send pictures we would then set up an appointment for our locksmith to go out and give a physical estimate. Due to the rising Covid cases we try to avoid that as much as possible until we’re ready to do the job. If you were unable to understand that then I’m sorry. When you’re feeling up to it, maybe we can try again? Be well and stay safe.
