You guys are my heroes! I've been begging for an additional building key from my landlord since the beginning of August and have been ignored. I found KeyMe Locksmiths online, gave them a try (was nervous at first) and here we are...one beautiful key fob later with access to my front door!! The process was so fast and easy! It’s a good idea but when I got the keys made they were visibly not matching and would never work. That being said, I called the company to discuss a refund and they did provide that over the phone with an email confirmation and try to help me find another place to have keys made. Would I use keyme again? Unlikely. But at least the customer service was good.

I inserted the key shaft into a slot and the screen of the KeyMe machine presented a graphic trace of the key teeth and slots upon a screen. After ten, fifteen seconds the tracing was completed and another screen appeared informing me of a $6.95 price for a copy of the UPS mailbox key I wanted, which the KeyMe machine informed me is not standard key size or shape. 'OK, just make one,' I thought and completed the transaction, another screen telling me the key will be sent to the address I inputed before. An email confirmed the order. I would've felt more confident had the email I received from KeyMe stated the address I wanted, though the screen gave a twenty mile radius list of street names similar to the one I inputted, and suggested the correct city from only the street name I had typed, so I'll assume everything will go as planned. I'd use the machine again, definitely, unless I happened to have strolled past a key-making store before seeing a KeyMe machine.
