We love being able to cut new keys ourself at the store instead of making an extra stop to the hardware store to get someone to help at the right counter and have them make it. My kids did pick out their own colored keys each (I locked us out of the house today so I made lots of copies) and they got a kick out of having a cool pattern on the key and not just the top. My daughter pays special attention to details and the contrast in colors of the key and where it's cut bothered her. I'm not sure how it would be possible but if it were dark for dark colored keys and normal for lighter designs it may be more aesthetically pleasing for those people like her. That's the only thing I can complain about, so that must mean the KeyMe is machines are pretty good!

Used a kiosk to copy house keys. Limited selection of graphic keys in kiosk. Most had to be ordered and shipped. Keys are approx double the cost of getting keys copied at Home Depot or other local hardware stores. Keys were copied and done in kiosk in approx 2 mins per key. All 4 keys I made worked great. The kiosk can be a great thing in areas were finding a hardware store to make them may be a decent drive away. The best part of the kiosk is the ability to copy a key at one kiosk and then have someone sign into another kiosk location to instantly print off a copy of the saved key.
