  Performed a “tune-up” which involved oil and spark plug change. Oil is still dirty (see pic) and engine still runs roughly. Did repair the spindle which was what I took it in for. It took 7 days to get it fixed and he didn’t call me to tell me it was done. He did not provide a verbal or written estimate which is required by Wisconsin law before performing work. I asked specifically for a verbal estimate when I was face-to face during drop-off and on the phone the next week when I called to see if he had an estimate ready. I told him that I was on a tight budget and probably could only afford the repair and to let me know what a “tune-up” and new blades would cost BEFORE performing the work. He did the “tune-up” and changed the blades without my permission and charged me for it. I also didn’t get a written receipt. This is typical of how women are treated in the motor vehicle repair industry. I expected better because 3 different people referred me to him. Please don’t go to this shop unless you have a man with you to make sure you don’t get taken for major $$.
