  I have dealt with Dave in multiple ways. I have purchased a vehicle outright, purchased and financed a vehicle, had him do major car repair on a vehicle (not one purchased via him), and had him do minor maintenance type work on that same car. In all facets he and his mechanics have taken care of me. Given me great prices. Made dealing with them as easy as possible. I trust him.

  My experience at this shop unfortunately was not a good one. My normal place to get my car inspected had an unfortunate fire which left me seeking a new place to get my car inspected. When I first had my car inspected I was given a list of repairs that needed to be made in order for it to pass. Ok I get it that much makes sense. I made the necessary repairs and brought the vehicle back to this location, however it was not in the allotted time deemed necessary so a whole new inspection needed to be done. Ok I get it there’s rules and regulations so I agreed and said sure go for it. After they were finished everything was ok with the exception of one tire needs to be replaced. I again was frustrated but understood and proceeded to get another tire put on. When I returned I was told a whole new inspection had to be done and they could only do so many because of their qualified mechanics availability. So in the meantime my son missed his driving test at the dmv and had to reschedule for 2 months from now. To make matters worse the place I ended up going to did the inspection in literally 10 min and didn’t even look at the tire. So although I hate leaving bad reviews for any business I feel I have to on this one. What else can I say except my experience there was a bad one and I probably won’t be back. And if you’re seeking any type of place to be lenient at all on a vehicle that needs to be inspected this just isn’t the place. I can say they were friendly and he didn’t charge me for the failed inspection so I’ll give credit where credit is due.

  Good Morning Mr.Whritenour, Thank you for leaving a review. Your vehicle failed PA State Inspection for a list of reasons two weeks prior to coming back for a re-inspect. All of our PA State Inspections are appointment only, there is a sign on our front door that says Service Appointments are not walk in. You walked into our office on 09/27/2021 for a re-inspection which I told you I would get it in by the end of the day. I got your vehicle into our shop with a front left tire secondary rubber showing on both sides and a rear tire with a chunk of rubber out of the side wall. The rear wiper was also worn which was all on the previous sheet I gave you. I replaced the tire with the chunk out of it at 6:30 at night and told you I did not have a tire to replace the other one. As far as the rest of your review goes it is not about our mechanic availability, I texted you stating "we are only able to do 1 inspection per hour per the handbook". You had 2 weeks to bring the vehicle back here for a re-inspection and get everything figured out so don't put your step son missing his DMV Appointment on us. As far as you taking your car to another garage and having it inspected in 10 minutes and them not looking at the tire, that is illegal my friend. There is an inspection book that needs to be followed when doing PA State Inspections. It takes 10 minutes to put it in the computer so they obviously didn't go over anything on your car. If you wanna drive in a vehicle that won't pass PA State Inspection or have your stepson drive it then so be it, but I am not putting my place of business at risk, you at risk, and my technician is certainly not putting his signature on an Inspection Sticker on a car that doesn't pass. If you wanna call PennDOT Inspection Office @ 717-787-2895 and tell them we were not lenient with you and file a complaint please do! Just make sure you explain your whole story. People like you are the ones I should have charged for both times we failed your car, along with changing your wheel out for you. If you have any questions please let me know!!   I can't say one bad thing about Dave and the other guy that was with him. I am from out of state and got a flat tire at the gas station in Gibson and they pulled up and asked if I needed help, went back to their shop and grabbed a jack and tools and switched my tire out for me. They didn't charge anything and wouldn't take the tip I tried to give them. Thank God their is still good people in this world. I hope the best for your family Dave.
