Brought a home safe in because it would not open.  Rick and Sean worked on it immediately and eventually got it open without having to destroy the safe.  I also took the chance to replace the battery to my car's FOB that I had been putting off since forever.  I would highly recommend this place.  The staff is considerate, kind and professional.   The prices were way cheaper than I expected.

I called to see if they could program a vehicle key fob for me and they were super helpful over the phone from the beginning and up front about costs and additional costs if I brought in my own key and the programming didn’t work. When I arrived (about 30 mins before closing) they took the time to check to make sure I had the right key and then programmed it. They tested all the buttons and we even talked about some reasons why my remote start might’ve stopped working. Super professional, courteous and helpful. Would highly recommend to anyone in need of locksmith services and will be using them again next time I need a locksmith!

I just wanted to share what a wonderful experience I have had with Artie’s Lock and Key: I needed a car door cylinder rekey for my antique Bronco. I brought in the cylinder and in just a short time the cylinder was done and matched to the original ignition key to my truck. Thanks again Ricky for an amazing job well done.

I've used Artie's Lock and Key since at least 1987 when I moved to Fairfax City.  They are wonderful.  You can trust them to make good copies of keys at a fair price and they give good service.  Today I thought my car key fob has lost it's remote function since I had accidently held a magnet against it while using a flashlight with a magnet next to it.  The key remote part did not work Sunday night or Monday morning to open or close the car.  I called Artie's yesterday to see if they could fix it.  They checked to see if they had the correct replacement and gave me an estimate over the phone.  Lucky for me when I got there, the fob had corrected itself and was working.  The guy working there made sure that the fob was still working to start and run the car.  He told me to keep an eye on it because it should not be totally trusted.  It is unusual for them to fix themselves.  He told me the two possible fob numbers just in case I need one in the future.  You can't ask for better service that that.

Great company and the employees there are very professional and knowledgeable. I had recently purchased a used car that came only with a valet key. They were able to properly program a new remote key fob for me within the hour. I chose them based on the rave reviews, and it was worth the 45 minute drive for me to be serviced by them. I bought an antique rosewood dresser, roughly 120 years old. Stunning! But it had old fashioned locks on the drawers and it came with no key. The good news was the drawers were not locked, so I took one of the locks out, and took it to Artie's. I'd used Artie's before for routine stuff like key duplication or re-keying deadbolts, but it had been many years. The folks at Arties had a brand new skeleton key made for me the next day, for a VERY reasonable price. Works all three drawer locks like they are brand new. If you need antique locks fixed, this is the place you are looking for!
