We discovered a low tire on our 1st day of vacation in Red River. We found A&B Automotive, who helped to save the day! There was a screw stuck in the tire, which the owner of the shop patched up very quickly, and recommended that we get a new tire to help us get home back to Louisiana safely! He was super sweet, honest, and it only cost us $20. He even gave us a sweet gesture to take home with us. Thank you, A&B for helping us!!!God Bless! 🙏

Albert at A&B Automotive literally saved the day. The oil pan drain plug on my wife’s new car had backed out, spilling oil and almost leaving us stranded up in Red River. We pulled into A&B on a Monday afternoon at 4:15, leaking oil badly and desperate for help. Albert put aside the project he was on, put our vehicle up on a lift and fixed the problem. He was courteous to help us document the incident. Thank you, Albert. Very appreciated.

Albert was extremely helpful with providing service to replace and sell new battery for our Silverado.  Had a nice friendly chat with him and waiting customer who needed tire repair.His shop is neat, well equipped.  He carries a good line of batteries and knowledgeable in replacing them.  Not an easy task on today's vehicles.  A bit pricey, but worth the convenience and service.

On the way into town yesterday I ran over a screw. Today I went over to A & B and saw Albert! He stopped everything he was doing and fixed my tire within minutes!! Great service!

Really grateful for Albert and his expertise. He helped me out with a screw in my tire when I was visiting from out of town—and he wasn’t even open that day. Had he not been outside his business when I was talking to roadside assistance I would have had to rely on my donut for to get me to the next big town over to replace or repair the tire, instead of a having repaired tire that would take me hundreds of miles back to home. Only a good, honest and experienced person would do that.

The owner is extremely unprofessional. Was rude to my wife and I. Extremely over priced even compared to the typical resort town upcharge. Charged $20 for 1 bottle of power steering fluid. Wouldn't give a receipt because he knows he over charged me. Told me the problem would be several hundred dollars and take several hours if not a couple of days. I took it to J B & Co Auto and was done in 10 minutes and only cost 30$ The owner Spends most of the time sitting on a stool behind a truck pretending to be working. Will not answer the phone. Do yourself a favor f you are googling repair shops in Red River and go someowhere else.

First, the mechanic here is not a diesel mechanic. He was impatient and would not let his computer run the full cycle (only let it get to about 950/2000 before clicking out of it). Really inconvenient as if he would have just said "no" to attempting the service regen on our pickup, we would have gone elsewhere and not spent 2 hours trying to get him to help us. I'm sure he's better with other mechanical issues but I value my time more than he values his own apparently. You wouldn't get half way through an update on your phone and take the battery out to force a stop on it and then wonder why it didn't work and get mad about it.... not sure why he wouldn't let his computer process like it should.

This is one the most unprofessional businesses I’ve ever dealt with. Our car died the first night of our vacation to Taos and Red River. We were told by a mechanic that it was our alternator. My husband (an electrical engineer) and a mechanic friend replaced the alternator in Taos, and the car worked for a while, but died again when it got to Red River. A & B Automotive was the only mechanic I could find in Red a River that was open on a Saturday. I called and explained the situation. The man told me he was not interested in “something like that.. because it’s been messed with” and then literally hung up on me when I tried to understand what he meant. I’ve called back twice now, and the last time he picked up and immediately hung up when I said “Hi, this is the woman who called previously.” We have met a number of good Samaritans on this trip, and I have been so touched by people’s kindness, but this guy is definitely not one of them. I would never do business with him, unless I was stranded in the middle of the mountains with a dead car and no other option. But even then I guess I can’t!

When we arrived in Red River we heard a loud squealing noise emminating from our rear wheels. I took my car in to A&B Automotive the next morning, figuring I'd need a brake job. Al got right on it, put my car on the lift and upon closer inspection he found a tiny rock lodged in the brake pad. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Excellent service and customer care!

Unbelievable service. On our ski trip, traveling FTW, our door handle broke off completely on the passenger side. This company ordered a part, had it in the next day. We dropped the car off at 1pm and hit the slopes. At 4pm we were done skiing and the car was ready. Incredible. They had managed somehow to get the door open with no handle inside or outside and did not damage the car. Highly recommend!!!
