  We lost our key, we were technically out of the service area of Evergreen in Georgetown. The tech who came out was a nice guy, quoted us a price that we were willing to pay. When he got to our location, he did all of the necessary things to get us into our car and started. He had trouble with the door lock, not the ignition. He told me it looked like someone had messed with my lock at some point. The key that I had, always opened the door either with the key itself, or the fob. He unscrewed the lock out of the door,, and took it to his van. He told us that he most likely would have to make us two keys. One for the ignition and one for the door. He came back, put the lock back in the door. Then said he was done. Now I cannot lock, or keep any valuables in my car. I do not have a key to open my car door. I know it is my fault I lost my fob. But I received no fob, which the tech stated I would not get. I got a key for my ignition which is great. But I have no way of locking my car and keeping my valuables safe. My question is? Why if the tech took the lock out of the car door, could he not make a key from that lock? He opened the door with the very tool that he used to make a key for the ignition. I live in the city, Theft happens all the time. Now I am faced with paying another $400 to get a new fob programmed, or calling another locksmith to get me a key for the door. I payed this company $400. I gave the tech 60 dollars in a tip. He did all this work in an approximately -37 degree wind-chill. I am very grateful for that. Very nice guy. But I feel like he only did part of the job. I need a key for my door, and this would have been a 5 star rating.

  We had a call into the office regarding this, and we have talked to the locksmith about this. When he was on site he explained the situation to both the son and the father on site, they both agreed to have the service done that he was capable of doing on site, our of service area, prior to him providing that service. I am sorry that is all that could be done for you, had we known prior to arrival that at some point the ignition had been changed or the door locks had been changed previously he may have had a different solution or at least been able to explain that prior to arrival.

  The rep said it would be about $60 for the locksmith. Came out to $250. It was $60 for the call for a locksmith alone. Like really!? Then the locksmith was so rude on the phone. "Its 45 mins away so dont call me in 30 mins saying another locksmith is coming" like wow yall were the only ones i called. Wish i called someone else now.

  Reese, I have looked into our files and I am not seeing anyone with your first or last name in the system, Perhaps it was misspelled when it was entered? I would like to review the file if we have one because our trip charge or service fee is not $60.00, and never has been. Beyond that our "reps" or dispatchers are not qualified to give any pricing over the phone and have been trained not to. If one of our dispatcher's gave a price, or our tech was rude on the phone I would like to review those phone calls and give this the attention is needs.

  I was quoted one price and charged another. For a short 10 minute fix I was charged $180. The locksmith was prompt and professional, but this kind of left a bad taste in my mouth. Not sure I would use them again.

  Adam, I'm sorry you had this experience, I listed to the phone call when you phoned the office and I didn't hear them give any quotes, please feel free to call us and let us know who or when you were quoted so that we may search other calls and review it and address it if need be.
